As cases of the new strain of coronavirus grow worldwide, Cape Fear Community College continues to monitor the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) outbreak closely. Due to this outbreak, the Department of Athletics has closed the department offices on campus but will remain working from home. In addition to the department offices being closed, all student activities and athletic events have been cancelled. Coaches will continue to recruit athletes via phone or skype, however there will be no face to face meetings.
"This is an unprecedented time in our nation and our department," said Director of Athletics Ryan Mantlo. "Our staff remains vigilant in serving all our current and potential students as we navigate through this difficult time."
