Sea Devils Drop Two Straight

Melbourne, FL - Anthony Vanhook poured in a team-high 27 points, but Cape Fear Community College fell for the second straight day in Melbourne, Fla., 79-67 to Daytona State on Saturday afternoon.

Calvin Davis added 12 points for the Sea Devils, while Demetres Abrams was the high scorer with 16 points on Friday in a 76-52 setback to host Eastern Florida State.

We ran into a buzz saw this weekend and must regroup over the next week to get ready for another tough set of road games," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "We have to learn to play championship level basketball for 40 minutes. We are continuing to grow each day, keeping the ultimate goal of being great in March."

After dropping both games over the weekend in the Sunshine State, Cape Fear (5-5) looks to rebound on Saturday, Dec. 14 as the Sea Devils continue their four game road trip through two different states in Baltimore, Md. against Hagerstown Community College.
