Bolivia, NC - Anthony Vanhook scored a game-high 24 points as five different players finished in double figures to lead Cape Fear Community College to an emphatic 99-72 win over # 11 Harcum College in men's basketball action at the Brunswick Community College Classic on Wednesday.
The Sea Devils took an 18 point lead into the break behind Demetres Abrams, who tallied 22 points. Travis Barnes added 16, Nate Sims closed with 12 points and TJ Evans rounded out the double digit scoring with 11 points.
"We showed some signs of really being good today," commented CFCC head coach Ryan Mantlo. "Harcum finished in the final four last year and was off to another great start this season so this win speaks volumes of our team's potential."
Cape Fear has now won three straight games to improve to 8-5 overall heading into Thursday's contest against Caldwell CCTI. Tip-off is at 4 p.m. in Bolivia.
