Second Half Propels Sea Devils

Wilmington, NC - Calvin Davis and Cordea Wilson hit for 17 points apiece and the Sea Devils overcame a short-handed lineup to pick up a 97-78 win at home over Denmark Tech on Wednesday night.

"We really battled tonight," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "With five players out we had others really step up. I'm proud of our effort."

Parris Manning helped paced the attack with 14 points while Travis Barnes and Matt Lindsey rounded out the double digit scoring with 12 and 11 points respectively.

Cape Fear returned to the .500 mark inside Region 10 play at 2-2 in conference and improved to 14-8 overall. The Sea Devils are 8-1 inside the friendly confines of the Schwartz Center this season and get back on the floor Saturday afternoon in Wilmington to conclude a brief two-game home stand against Hines Prep Academy.
