Wilmington, NC - The Sea Devils began a six-game road trip to end the month of December with an 87-78 victory over Wake Tech in men's basketball on Tuesday night.
Four players finished in double figures for Cape Fear, who improved to 9-3 overall with their fifth straight win.
"This one doesn't feel good," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "We didn't take advantage of our opportunity to play the game tonight and almost let on slip away."
T.J. Evans led all scorers with 18 points, while Alonzo Tyson chipped in with 14.
The Sea Devils have won eight of their last nine heading into their second road trip to Florida this season.
Cape Fear travels to Gainesville this weekend for back-to-back games at Sante Fe College. They open play at the Florida Shootout against #7 Palm Beach State College on Saturday, Dec. 12.
