Men's Basketball Back to Winning Ways

Bolivia, NC - Michael Chambers drained five shots from long range and finished with 25 points as Cape Fear Community College snapped a two-game skid following an 88-83 victory over Shelton State Community College on Wednesday night.

Playing in the final game of the day at the Brunswick Community College Holiday Classic in Bolivia, the Sea Devils improved to 10-5 overall.

Ole Miss commit Tyrek Coger added 16 points, while Josh Lindsey and T.J. Evans each hit three shots from behind the arc. Lindsey finished with 16 points and Evans added 12.

Cape Fear carried a 40-39 advantage into the break and hit four treys on a 12-0 run to start the second half.

Marvin Jones led Shelton State with 19 points.

The Sea Devils get back on the floor against Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute at 4 p.m. on day two of the holiday tournament.
