Men's Basketball Holds Off Richard Bland

Wilmington, NC - The Cape Fear Community College men's basketball team continued its six-game home stand to start the New Year on Saturday and grabbed their sixth straight result following an 85-76 victory over Richard Bland Community College.

Led by Tyrek Coger's 19 points, five different Sea Devils finished in double figures. Josh Lindsey added 18 points, while T.J. Evans chipped in with 16.

"We played extremely hard today against a very good team," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "I'm very proud of how we responded with two starters out."

Matt Lindsey recorded 13 points and Alonzo Tyson rounded out the scoring effort with 11 points.

Cape Fear remains unbeaten on their home floor and moved to 15-5 overall. The Sea Devils play in their final non-conference game of the season against Elite Skills Basketball Academy on Monday, Jan. 18. Tip-off is at 2:30 p.m. at the Schwartz Center.
