Sea Devils Down Brunswick

Wilmington, NC - Three different players scored in double figures to help propel Cape Fear Community College past Brunswick Community College 83-69 in men's basketball action at the Schwartz Center on Friday night.

T.J. Evans led the way with 26 points as the Sea Devils broke open a two-possession game in the second half.

"We showed some really good flashes defensively tonight," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "It helped spark some runs. We're happy to get a big conference win especially at home against your rival."

Michael Chambers added 15 points in the result, while Tyrek Coger added 12 points. Cape Fear carried a 39-34 advantage at the break and used a pair of long range shots to extend its cushion to nine at the midway point of the second half.

Cape Fear remains unbeaten at 12-0 on their home floor, improving to 2-0 in conference and 17-5 overall. The Sea Devils take an eight-game winning streak to Clinton Junior College on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
