Cape Fear Continues Streak

Walterboro, SC - Six different players recorded double figures as Cape Fear Community College grabbed an 89-80 win at USC-Salkehatchie in men's basketball on Wednesday.

Michael Chambers scored a game-high 16 points and TJ Evans chipped in with 15.

"We played very well in spurts tonight," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "We need to continue to work on the defensive end of the floor and gave up way too many points tonight. We are finding ways to win conference road games and that's always tough to do."

Alonzo Tyson also added 12 points in the season-sweep, while Matt Lindsey added 11 points for the Sea Devils, who moved to 7-0 in league play and 22-5 overall.  Cape Fear has won 13 straight games, with a three-game lead atop the Region 10 standings heading into a road game at Denmark Tech on Saturday, Feb. 13.
