SMC Routs Cape Fear

Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear Community College dropped back-to-back games for the first time since early November following a 110-80 setback to Spartanburg Methodist in the Sea Devils final home game of the regular season in men's basketball action on Saturday.

Calvin Davis led Cape Fear with 22 points and TJ Evans added 16 for the Sea Devils, who dropped their first game at the Schwartz Center in 15 tries this year.

"We just flat out got outworked today," said CFCC Coach Ryan Mantlo. "They played extremely well so you have to give them credit. It's back to the drawing board for us as we need to get rolling again headed into the stretch run."

Cape Fear dropped to 7-2 in conference and 22-7 overall. The Sea Devils play in their regular season finale at Brunswick Community College on Thursday, Feb. 25.
