Bolivia, NC - Cape Fear men's basketball used a strong first half to defeat Wallace State Community College-Hanceville, 80-61 in the first game of the Brunswick Community College Christmas Classic.
Trevor Willis lead the Sea Devils with 21 points, six rebounds, and three steals off the bench, while Trae Bryant scored 16 points.
At the end of the first half, Cape Fear held a 46-24 lead. Wallace State managed to score 37 in the second half, but the Sea Devils were able to match them to prevent a comeback, scoring 34.
The Sea Devils finished with 46 points in the paint, and scored 18 points off of turnovers. Their bench outscored Wallace State 34-14.
The win improves Cape Fear to 10-2 on the season. They will play next on Friday, December 16th, against Delaware Technical Community College in the second game of the Brunswick CC Christmas Classic. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m.
