Men's Basketball Comes Up Short

Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear men's basketball came up just short against Caldwell Community College, losing 80-79, on Saturday.

Kwe Parker led the Sea Devils wit 17 points, while Jalen Cameron added 14.

"It hurts to lose this way," said head coach Ryan Mantlo. "I do believe we are close to turning a corner. We just have to continue to concentrate on getting more consistent everyday."

Today's loss is Cape Fear's third straight following close losses to USC Salkehatchie and Denmark Technical College. They fall to 15-9 overall and 3-4 in conference play.

They will have the next week off to practice and prepare for their next game, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 17th at home against Spartanburg Methodist. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
