Men's Basketball Falls to South Georgia Tech

Wilmington, NC - Men's basketball lost 77-61 to South Georgia Technical College.

In the Sea Devils first home game of the season they struggled to convert on the offensive side of the court. They also struggled from the 3-point line and had a tough time stopping South Georgia Tech on the defensive side.

Sophomore guard Torey James led the way with 15 points in an impressive performance for the Sea Devils. Freshman guard Talton Jones had 11 points, while freshman guard DeMarcus Johnson had 10 points.

Coach Mark Lane had this to say as his first game as head coach for the Sea Devils "Thought we played hard and could have executed better down the stretch, proud of our team's effort".

The Sea Devils fall to 0-1 on the season.

Their next game is scheduled for November 2nd as they take on Gordan State College in the Cape Fear Classic. This game will be played in the Schwartz Center with a 3:00 pm tip-off.
