Wilmington, NC - Men's basketball defeats Pitt Community College 91-77!
The first half started out as a battle between two teams that were explosive on the offensive side of the court. But as soon as the Sea Devils started to gel on the defensive side, it was hard for the Bulldogs to fight back. After the half, the Sea Devils kept up their lead and were able to get the win. Stand out players of the game were Dakari Johnson who had 32 points, Torey James with 16 points, and TJ NeSmith with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots.
Coach Mark Lane says "Good win moving into a 3 game stretch this weekend, still have to learn how to play with a lead. Proud of our team's effort".
The Sea Devils are now 6-5 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
Their next game is scheduled for Friday, December 13th as they take on Walters State Community College in Bolivia, NC for their first game in the Brunswick Classic. Tip-off is set for 5:00 pm.
