Hudson, NC - Men's basketball loses 97-91 to Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute.
The Sea Devils worked hard for the entirety of the game, but came up short towards the final minutes of play. We saw great performances from both starters and reserves. Trayvon Ferrell and Dakari Johnson both led with 25 points, Talton Jones scored 14 points, TJ NeSmith scored 13 points, and both Bailey Encalade and Royce Jarrett scored 7 points.
Coach Mark Lane says "Played our tails off but came up short at the end. Need to make the easy ones down the stretch. Have to do a better job rebounding the ball, all 5 guys. Hope we can turn it around Wednesday at Richard Bland".
They are now 14-6 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.
Their next game is scheduled for Wednesday, January 29th against Richard Bland College. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. in Petersburg, VA.
