Wilmington, NC - Men's Basketball defeats Brunswick Community College 86-83!
It was Cape Fears annual Faculty, Staff, & Student Appreciation night at the Schwartz Center. The atmosphere was electric as the Sea Devils were able to hold off the Dolphins to secure a huge conference win! We saw three players score in double figures. Dakari Johnson led wth 27 points, Torey James scored 19 points, and Talton Jones put up 12 points.
Coach Mark Lane says "It wasn't pretty but we'll take it. Demarcus and Bailey gave us a boost off the bench that was much needed. We need to learn how to finish late in games by knocking down free throws, this has hurt us the last 2 games. Proud of how our guys battled the whole game".
They are now 16-7 on the season and 4-3 in conference play.
Their next game is scheduled for Saturday, February 15th as they take on Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. in the Schwartz Center.
