Sea Devils Drop Road Game

Louisburg, NC - The Cape Fear Community College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 match on the road against #4 Louisburg College Wednesday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, the Hurricanes opened up the scoring in the 49th minute and once again in the 50th.  Louisburg added one more goal in the 69th minute to finish off the scoring.  Goalkeeper Dakota Moore put on a strong performance for the Sea Devils, notching 15 saves in the loss.

"We faced a really good team today and didn't put 90 minutes together," said Coach Chris Libert.  "There were some positives that we can build upon as we continue to work towards our goals."   

The Cape Fear men dropped to 5-2 overall and 1-2 in Region 10 play.  The Sea Devils hit to the road this weekend as they travel to Allendale, S.C., on Saturday, Sept. 20 for a league match against USC-Salkehatchie.
