WILMINGTON, NC - "We have really grown well as a team leading up to the regular season on and off the pitch. Our pre-season game gave us a lot of insight on what we needed to work on and the guys have really been pushing this past week. Although we have a young team and are working out some kinks, I am expecting us to be very competitive on the pitch," said Sea Devil Men's Soccer Head Coach C.W. Ponton prior to today's game versus USC Lancaster.

The Sea Devils return six players from last year's squad, and welcome 16 freshmen to this year's team. The team also welcomes Richard Yakubu, a former Cape Fear men's soccer player to the staff as the team's new Volunteer Assistant Coach.  Coach Chris Harper will return to the sidelines for his second season as well as Volunteer Assistant Coach.

Kick-off from today's Region 10 contest between the Sea Devils and the Lancers is scheduled for 4pm (EST) at SCL Lancer Soccer Field.
