Cape Fear Drops Road Match Against Louisburg

Louisburg, NC - Cape Fear men's soccer lost to Louisburg College 8-0 on Thursday.

Louisburg scored six goals in the first half and added two in the second.

The Sea Devils managed five shots for the game.

Freshman midfielder Cameron Powers provided constant work rate and creativity throughout the game.

Thursday's match was the team's sixth game in seven days.

"We're exhausted," said head coach C.W. Ponton after the game.

Cape Fear falls to 6-7-1 on the season.

The Sea Devils get a day off before playing on Saturday, October 20th at home against USC Union. It is sophomore night, so be sure to come out and support the sophomore class in their final home game at Legion. Kick off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
