Union, SC - Men's soccer is back in the win column as they beat USC Union 3-0!
The Sea Devils got on the board early in the match as Raul Venegas scored his first goal of the day. They went into halftime up 1-0 with a lot of high intensity. As the second half got underway the Sea Devils second goal of the game was scored by Kobe Hepburn. Hepburn had many impactful runs from outside back on both sides of the field. The third goal of the game was scored by Raul Venegas as he had his second goal of the day. Cameron Murray helped slow the game down with composure and technique. The entire defense played phenomenal as they earned a clean sheet.
Coach C.W Ponton says, "We looked rough in the first half but came out in the second half. It's tough going down a man which we did in the 61st . I'm proud of the work the boys put on during the second half and grabbing both the clean sheet and the win".
The Sea Devils are now 4-4 on the season and 3-4 in conference play.
Their next game is scheduled for Saturday, October 12th in Wilmington, NC. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 as they take on USC Lancaster.
