Supply, NC - Cape Fear Community College picked up a 65-58 victory over Brunswick Community College in the quarterfinals of the Region 10 Women's Basketball Tournament in Bolivia on Thursday night.
Facing each other for the third time this season, the Sea Devils earned a sweep over its conference rivals and extended their win streak to nine games in a row as the No. 12 team in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II rankings.
Tori Florence led the way with 17 points and Kristina Rumplasch, reigning NJCAA DII Player of the Week, added 16 in the result. 4
The Sea Devils are 25-5 overall and moved to 6-1 on neutral courts this season. Cape Fear faces No. 3 Louisburg in the tournament semifinals on Friday. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.
