Wilmington, NC - Five players finished in double figures to lead the Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team to its fourth straight win following a 70-61 victory over Louisburg College at the Schwartz Center on Wednesday night.

"It was a great all around effort," said CFCC First-Year Coach Chris Harris. "We beat a very good and undefeated Louisburg team tonight. It took balanced scoring and defensive stops when we needed them. It was a very good win for our program."

Desaree Green paced the Sea Devils with 14 points while Chrystall Jerome, Jasmine Brown and Dee Porter each had 11 points for the Sea Devils.  Destiny Campbell chipped in with 10 to round out the double digit scoring for Cape Fear.

Cape Fear outscored Louisburg 26-12 in the third quarter to push past the Hurricanes, who fell to 9-1 on the year. Jasmine Gray had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead Louisburg.

The Sea Devils improved to 1-1 in conference and 4-1 overall. Cape Fear heads into a week of practice before closing a brief two-game home stand against Guilford Tech on Saturday, Dec. 12.
