Cape Fear Rolls Past Brunswick

Wilmington, NC - The nationally-ranked Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team put forth one of its most efficient efforts of the season in route to a 90-52 victory over Brunswick Community College on Friday night.

Imani Parr sank four treys and finished with a team-high 14 points as all 14 players on the Sea Devils roster got into the scoring column.

"We had some of the best defensive possessions of the year," said CFCC Coach Chris Harris. "It's a big rivalry game win in front of a nice crowd. I appreciate the fan support tonight."

Brunswick Community College shot just 25 percent from the floor and connected on 1 of 14 attempts from behind the arc.

Cape Fear extended its winning streak to 14 straight games and moved to 6-1 in league play.

"We're now looking forward to another game on Sunday against Catawba Valley. We did not play well there and I would like to redeem ourselves to close out another big weekend in conference."

The Sea Devils defeated Catawba Valley last week, 90-75. Tip-off on Sunday is set for 2 p.m. at the Schwartz Center.
