Wilmington, NC - Monica Alexander dropped 24 points to lead No. 11 Cape Fear Community College in a 72-49 route at home over Patrick Henry Community College on Saturday.
The Sea Devils extended its win streak to 18 consecutive games and clinched the Region 10 regular season title. Cape Fear moved to 10-0 in the division.
"We did what we needed too early to put the game away," said CFCC Coach Chris Harris. "Everyone had a chance to play, which is always nice. We look forward to begin working on a few things this week for the stretch run."
The Sea Devils embark on a five-game road swing to close the regular season beginning at Lenoir Community College on Wednesday, Feb. 10.
