Sea Devils Roll Past Wake Tech

Raleigh, NC - Coming off a week hiatus, the Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team got off to a slow start on Wednesday night, but the Sea Devils picked up the pace after the break to grab a 72-43 result at Wake Tech.

Desaree Green and Destiny Campbell had 14 points apiece to lead nationally ranked Cape Fear, who sit at No. 11 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Poll.
"We missed a lot of easy shots in the first half and couldn't pull away," said CFCC Coach Chris Harris. "Shots fell and our defense was clicking in second half. We're looking forward to two tough games this weekend."
With four games to go in the regular season, the Sea Devils have a stronghold on top spot in Region 10 play. Cape Fear improved to 20-1 following Wednesday's result, improving to 11-0 in conference.
The Sea Devils play back-to-back games this weekend in South Carolina against Denmark Tech and Spartanburg Methodist.
