Jamestown, NC - Cape Fear women's basketball came up short on the road against Guilford Technical Community College by a score of 82-80. Destiny Campbell led the Sea Devils with 28 points.
Entering Saturday's game with a shortened roster, head coach Lori Drake believed her team played hard in the loss given the circumstances.
"Our ladies played tough for 40 minutes. With us being low in numbers, our ladies played with a positive and winning mentally."
Other top scorers for the Sea Devils included TaKwana Bland and Taylor Foulks, with 16 points and 14 points respectively, along with Nikia Wallace, who scored 10.
With the loss, Cape Fear falls to 11-3 on the season, and 6-1 in conference. They will return home on Tuesday to play Fayetteville Technical College at 6:00 p.m.
