Sea Devil WBB Inks Taylor Todd-Williams

WILMINGTON, NC--- Head Coach Lori Drake and the Sea Devil Women's Basketball program announced that Jacksonsville HS senior wing Taylor Todd-Williams has signed her National Letter of Intent to suit up for the Sea Devil Women's Basketball program and join the 2017-2018 Recruiting Class.

"Taylor Todd-Williams is a huge sign for us, she brings in versatility and athleticsim on both ends of the floor. Taylor's drive to be a leader will be something we look forward too going into the next season," Drake said in her opening comments when asked about what Todd-Williams will bring to the Sea Devil Women's Basketball program. 

Todd-Williams is currently averaging 7.9 points per game, 6.6 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game, 3.8 steals per game, and 1.1 blocks per game on 46% from the floor, 22% on three pointers, and 59% from the free throw line. 

Todd-Williams's senior season highlight came on January 6 in a (69-38) victory over Richlands HS; she recorded a season high of 16 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 4 steals. 

Taylor has been a four-year member of the varsity team under head coach Monique Gidrey, where the team finished (66-28) Overall, and (35-13) in Conference, which includes a Round 3 appearance in the 2016 NCHSAA Women's Basketball State Championships during her junior season.

Taylor also played on the AAU Circuit on the Flight 22 Girls Program, a team coached by Sea Devil Volunteer Assistant Coach Danielle Bongiorno. 

"My mom always says whatever God has for you no man can take away. That's all I was thinking when I signed my LOI [Letter of Intent] today. I knew it was meant for me," said Taylor Todd-Williams onWednesday's signing day after she sgined with Cape Fear Community College.
