Women's Basketball Opens Season with Conference Win

Rock Hill, SC - Cape Fear women's basketball opened the 2017-18 season with a 114-42 win over conference opponent Clinton Junior College.

Freshman shooting guard A'Terria Quick led the Sea Devils with 16 points, while freshman guard Sydney Austin scored 13. Sophomore forward De'Najiah Porter had 12 points and eight rebounds. Freshmen centers Andreal Bass and Ceyanna Harrison debuted with 10 points.

"I am very proud of how our ladies came ready to take care of business today," said head coach Lori Drake. "We typically don't start our season off with a conference game, but it didn't bother our team at all. We have a very special team this year and we are excited the journey has begun."

Cape Fear opens the season 1-0 overall and in conference play.

Their next game is against Spartanburg Methodist on Sunday, November 5th on the road at 2:00 p.m.
