Women's Basketball Wins Second Road Game

Spartanburg, SC - Cape Fear won its second game in as many days, defeating Spartanburg Methodist 84-68.

Sophomore point guard Madison Ervin led the the team with 21 points, while freshman center Andreal Bass finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Sunday's win comes roughly 24 hours after the Sea Devils defeated Clinton College 114-42.

"It's not easy to play two road games back to back, but our ladies brought it again today," said head coach Lori Drake.

Drake liked the way her team defended, particularly in the second quarter.

"We adjusted well defensively in the 2nd quarter, which was a turning point in the game. We are excited to be coming home 2-0."

As Coach Drake points out, the Sea Devils improve to 2-0 on the season. They are 1-0 in conference play.

They play next on Friday, November 10th, where they will take on Louisburg College on the road at 4:00 p.m.
