Kinston, NC - Cape Fear women's basketball won their 9th game in a row after defeating Lenoir Community College on the road, 87-38.
Andreal Bass, the team's leading scorer, led the Sea Devils with 18 points.
Head coach Lori Drake was pleased with her team's defensive effort.
"I was proud of how our ladies came out tonight," said coach Drake. "We brought a lot of toughness on the defensive end, setting a goal to hold them to 40 or less points."
The win improves Cape Fear to 18-5 on the season and 16-1 in conference play. They remain in 1st place in Region 10, and rank 13th overall in the country.
Their next game is scheduled for Saturday, February 10th, where they will take on Guilford Tech Community College on the road at 5:00 p.m.
