Women's Basketball Defeats Spartanburg Methodist

Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear women's basketball defeated Spartanburg Methodist, 88-41, to win their third straight game.

Ayonna Cotten and Tracey Kemp led the Sea Devils in scoring with 15 points each.

Cape Fear played a fast pace today, scoring a number of points on fast break opportunities.

"Our goal for today was to push the ball and play in transition for 40 minutes and our ladies did just that," said head coach Lori Drake. "Now we need to refocus our energy to Monday's game against Bryant & Stratton."

The team improves to 13-3 overall and 9-2 in conference play. Monday's game against Bryant & Stratton College is at home and scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at New Hanover High School.
