Wilmington, NC- Women's basketball loses 82-72 to CCBC Essex.
The lady Sea Devils have had a rough start to the season due to some injuries that have occurred early on, but that hasn't stopped them from fighting. Even though they lost this game, they battled to the end. Freshman center Rashauna Grant had an impressive 29 points and 14 rebounds!
Coach Lori Drake says, "We have taken two hits early in the season, but this is not going to dictate our season and the big picture. We are very talented and still learning each other on the hardwood. We will put together two solid practices to prepare for WTCC".
The Sea Devils are now 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
Their next game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13th as they take on Wake Tech Community College. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. in Raleigh, NC.
