Women's Basketball Falls to Gulf Coast State

Americus, GA - Women's Basketball loses 86-50 to Gulf Coast State College.

It was a tough loss for the Sea Devils as they had a hard battle with the number one team in the country. They fought throughout the whole game but fell short at the end.  Rashauna Grant had 11 points and 19 rebounds, Jada Nowlin with 16 points, and Jadin Gladden with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Coach Lori Drake says "Coming out and playing the number one team in the country was a tough task. I find the small wins within our loss, we outscored them in the 4th quarter 17-16 and rebounded with them grabbing 51 rebounds. We have to refocus and prepare for SGTC tomorrow night".

They are now 7-5 on the season and 6-2 in conference play.

Their next game is scheduled for Monday, December 30th as they take on South Georgia Technical College. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. in Americus, GA.
