Sea Devils Lose in OT

La Plata, MD - Cape Fear Community College was shutout for just the second time this season as College of Southern Maryland scored the game winning goal eight minutes into the first overtime to secure a 1-0 result over the Sea Devils in women's soccer on Saturday afternoon.

"I was pleased with our effort and pleased with how we played," said CFCC Coach Ryan Deppa. "The team created 17 shots today and 10 corners, but they just didn't go in for us. We are improving each time we take the field and that is an important piece for our team as we head into October."

The weekend match was the second of four straight road games for Cape Fear, who remain 5-0 in conference and fell to 5-3 overall. The Sea Devils finish their tour of Maryland with a date against Frederick Community College on Sunday.
