WILMINGTON, NC --- Fresh off their (4-1) win over Spartanburg Methodist College on Tuesday afternoon, the Sea Devil Women's Soccer teams returns to the pitch on Saturday evening versus Region 10 Conference opponent USC Lancaster, in their 2016-2017 regular season finale.

In the Sea Devils' last outing in their victory over Spartanburg Methodist College, the Sea Devil Women's Soccer program clinched their second straight regular season Region 10 Conference Championship.

"It hasn't really sunk in yet, it's just one step on a journey this year. We're excited to win our second in a row," said Sea Devil Women's Soccer head coach Ryan Deppa in his post-game presser following the victory.

"Getting to halftime itself was the biggest turning point for us. Being down (1-0) we knew we had to get the game back, and the players knew that as well, and they took it upon themselves, to come with the desire and passion needed to get the result," said Sea Devil Women's Soccer Assistant Coach Chris Murray.

USC Lancaster enters the match with a (2-8-1) overall record, (0-7-1) in Region 10 Conference record, and (0-4) on the road. The Lancers are (1-4) in the month of October in their soccer matches, including a (3-0) win over USC Salkehatchie on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

The Sea Devils are (19-1) all-time versus USC Lancaster, and have outscored the Lancers (9-6) in their three all-time meetings under current head coach Ryan Deppa (2-1 versus USC Lancaster while at Cape Fear).

Cape Fear defeated USC Lancaster earlier this season by the score of (3-0) on the road at USC Lancaster on Tuesday, September 20.

ON THE BRINK: COACH DEPPA's BIGGEST KEYS TO THE GAME
"USC Lancaster is better than their record. They have a few key players that can change the game at any moment. If we overlook this game in anyway, we could very well put ourselves in the same position we put ourselves in at Patrick Henry CC. The 2nd half versus Spartanburg on Tuesday was great, but we now have USC Lancaster to close the regular season, at home, under the lights at Legion. I am sure our players will be amped up for this game."
