CFCC Women's Soccer Wins on the Road

Lancaster, SC - Despite going behind early, Cape Fear women's soccer defeated USC Lancaster, 9-1 on the road.

The Lancers scored the game's opening goal, giving the Sea Devils a wake up call. It prompted 9 straight goals; including two a piece from sophomores Alaina Capps and Janessa Annis, and two from freshman Carly Higgins. Sophomore Sydney Parker and freshmen Kaila Acuna and Nina Perry also scored.

While she was unable to get on the scoresheet, freshman Ava John was dangerous in the attacking third, totaling seven shots on goal.

With two goals today, Higgins has 15 on the season, while Capps' two goals gives her 10.

Cape Fear improves to 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in conference. They host Wake Tech Community College this Saturday, September 23rd at 6:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on Youtube, and a link can be found on goseadevils.com.
