Janessa Annis and Alaina Capps Named Junior College Scholar All-Americans

Cape Fear Community College's Women's Soccer players Janessa Annis and Alaina Capps were named Junior College Scholar All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches Association.  Ten players were selected for first team and ten players were selected for second team.

Junior College Scholar All-Americans Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced on Friday the Men's and Women's Scholar All-America Teams at the Junior College level.
2017 Junior College Scholar All-America Teams:

Student-athletes receiving Scholar All-America recognition at the Junior College level must be a sophomore in academic standing at the institution and meet the following criteria:
• 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career
• Start more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team
• Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution

Players on this year's Junior College Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the All-America Luncheon on January 20, 2018 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in conjunction with the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Convention.
