Women's Soccer Resumes 2018 Season with a Win

Union, SC - Cape Fear women's soccer resumed the 2018 season with a 13-0 win over USC Union.

Cape Fear took the lead off an own goal from USC Union. From there, seven different Sea Devils scored in the game. Trinity Davis led the team with a hat trick, while Carly Higgins and Kaitlin Plienis each scored a brace. Kaila Acuna, Dani Donovan, Skyler Giolitti, Esperanza McKay, and Haley Jordan scored one a piece.

It was the first game for the women's soccer team since their season was put on hold due to Hurricane Florence. For head coach Ryan Deppa, it was a good day to get the season going again.

This was a good first day back for the team after the Hurricane Florence break," said Deppa. The team used the long bus trip and the game to get back to doing what they love to do."

Cape Fear improves to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in conference with the win.

With the after effects of Hurricane Florence still present, the team's next game is to be decided. Fans can check goseadevils.com to learn more once information is available.
