Women's Soccer Gets Road Win

Bluefield, WV - Cape Fear Women's Soccer gets road win against Bluefield College defeating them 4-1 in scrimmage on Friday.

Abbey Cowan scored the first goal of the game by a clean strike from outside the 18 to get the Sea Devils on the board.  Bluefield college then answered 9 minutes into the second half to tie the game up 1-1. The Sea Devils than rallied to tally on three more goals to end the game. A two-goal performance by Trinity Davis and one goal by Jayana Nicholson. Goalkeeper Samantha Armstrong earned 4 saves in the match and De'Sheryl Hill had one save to help the Sea Devils take the match.

Coach Ryan Deppa had this to say about the team "The team showed some strong moments today and is getting stronger together each day".

Cape Fear improves to 2-0 on the season and remains at 1-0 in conference play.

Their next game is scheduled for Saturday, August 31st. The game will begin at 1pm as they take on Southwest Virginia Community College in Cedar Bluff, VA.
