Sea Devils Earn Win Over Spartanburg

Wilmington, NC - Women's soccer defeats Spartanburg Methodist 3-0 in front of a home crowd.

Silken Carlton was an unstoppable force as she had herself a great day on the offensive side of the field. Carlton scored her first goal six minutes into the game and then had her second of the day in the 25th minute of play. Going into halftime the Sea Devils were up 2-0! Maggie Hall finished off a PK with five minutes left in the game to make it 3-0. Gabby Kirkman earned the shutout in goal.

Coach Ryan Deppa says, "proud of our team's effort today.  Was a good win at home.  They continue to find ways to collectively get the job done".

The Sea Devils are now 11-1-1 on the season and 5-1-1 in conference play.

Their next game is scheduled for Sunday, October 20th as they take on Barton College Developmental Team, kick-off is set for 4:00 pm in Wilson, NC.
