Cape Fear Back to Winning Ways

Greenville, NC - Cape Fear bounced back from last weekend's setback as the Lady Sea Devils cruised to a 3-1 win over Pitt CC in Winterville on Saturday.

"We had an excellent game by the girls today," said CFCC Coach Emily Coleman. "We are continuing to get better each day and while Pitt played scrappy, we made good adjustments to close out the match in four sets."

Megan Thomas put in an all-around effort as the sophomore setter recorded 35 assists, 12 digs, and two kills. Ashlyn Kent finished with 14 kills and four blocks, while Brittani Jefferson had 17 kills, eight blocks, and seven digs.

With the win Cape Fear improved to 8-3 in conference and 14-7 overall. The Lady Sea Devils get back on the court Friday, Oct. 10 with a trip to Guilford Tech.
