Volleyball Wins Second Match of Weekend

Virginia Beach, VA - Cape Fear volleyball won its second match of the day on Saturday, defeating conference opponent Bryant & Stratton College 3-0 in the Bryant & Stratton tournament.

After a five set thriller in the previous match against Maccomb Community College, the Sea Devils had an easier time against Bryant & Stratton, winning in three straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-10.

Addie Wagner finished with seven kills and four blocks, while Ali Jenkins had 27 assists and three aces. The Sea Devils hit .384 as a team, and finished with 12 aces.

"[It was a] solid conference win after a long match before. We stayed focused throughout and served aggressively," said head coach Emily Coleman.

The win improves Cape Fear to 5-0 on the season, and 2-0 in conference play. They return to action on September 19th, where they take on Louisburg College at home at 6:00 p.m.
