CFCC Volleyball Shuts Out Guilford Tech

Jamestown, NC - Cape Fear women's volleyball defeated Guilford Tech, 3-0, to win their second match in a row.

The Sea Devils won in straight sets of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-19.

Lindsay Thompson led the team in digs with 12. She also added five aces. Allyson Vernon finished with eight kills, while Callie Weaver led the team with eight aces and seven digs.

"[We] still have some improvements to make but overall a great conference win," said head coach Heather Emborsky.

Today's win is the team's second in a row following a come from behind victory against Pitt Community College. Combined with that match, the Sea Devils have won six straight sets.

Cape Fear improves to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

They play two matches on Friday, October 19th. First up is a 5:30 p.m. matchup against Catawba Valley Community College, followed by a match against Louisburg at 7:00.
