Volleyball Cruises Past USC Salkehatchie

Walterboro, SC - Cape Fear women's volleyball defeated USC Salkehatchie 3-0 on Monday.

The Sea Devils dominated the three sets, winning by scores of 25-13, 25-18, and 25-10.

Caroline Compton led her team with 28 assists along with one ace, while Taylor Long picked up 15 kills and one ace. Lindsay Thompson added a team high 14 digs and two aces.

"It's great to see the girls continue to push through all of the traveling and matches we are catching up on and pull off another win," said head coach Heather Emborsky.

Cape Fear has won two of its past three matches. They currently sit 8th in the Region 10 conference standings with a conference record of 4-5 and an overall record of 5-9. With two upcoming games against Fayetteville Tech and Lenoir Community College, the Sea Devils can move further up the standings to end the season strong.

They will face off against Lenoir first in a road match scheduled for Wednesday, October 24th. Match time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
