Raleigh, NC - Cape Fear volleyball defeated Wake Tech Community College 3-2 on the road Tuesday evening.

The match proved a test for the Sea Devils, who battled the Eagles in all five sets.  The Sea Devils won the first set 25-14, dropped the next two sets 23-25 and 18-25, but managed to keep the match alive with fourth and fifth set wins 25-20 and 15-11.

Emily Steyskal led the team with 7 aces, 5 kills, and 4 blocks, while Lauren Adams added 7 kills, 2 aces, and 6 blocks.

"We struggled tonight with a couple of our starters out due to having to travel for the incoming hurricane, however we were able to push through and work as a team to pull off a win.
The team remained calm as we were down 2 sets to 1 early and were able to regroup and stay focused on each point." said head coach Heather Emborsky.

Cape Fear improves to 3-2 on the season and 0-0 in conference play. Their next match is scheduled for Thursday, September 12th at 6pm, where they take on Lenoir Community College in their first home match of the season.
