Volleyball Holds on for Victory

Louisburg, NC - Cape Fear volleyball edged Louisburg College 3-2 last night.  

The match went back and forth. The Sea Devils lost the first set 25-22, but rebounded by taking the next two sets 25-21 and 25-22, Lousiburg responded by taking the fourth set 25-20.  Then, in the deciding fifth set, the Sea Devils pulled through to win 15-6.

"Our opponents made us work for every point this game and I was proud that our team could pull everything together and take the 5th set from them," said head coach Heather Emborsky.

Ceri'on Ellis Mosley finished with 16 kills, while Taylor Long had 11 kills. Naomi Pegues had 21 assists.  Ally Royal had 8 kills and Neryssa Donnell finished with 2 aces.

The win brings their record to 9-3 on the season and 5-1 in conference play.  They play again tomorrow, Thursdsay, October 10th as they take on conference opponent Wake Tech CC at 6pm at home in the Schwartz Center.
