Jessica Mays joined the Athletic Department in August 2021 as the primary communications coordinator and SID for the Sea Devils. She is responsible for all external marketing and communications effors within the department, including outbound media relations, official CFCC Sea Devils Athletics social media accounts, event marketing and promotions, and website management (www.goseadevils.com).

As a field hockey student-athlete at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, Jessica earned her Bachelors in Business Marketing with a concentration in Brand Management. Upon graduating in 2019, she moved to Raleigh, NC and served as a Marketing Assistant with NC State Athletics. Jessica served as the primary marketing contact for Men's Soccer, Track & Field, Cross Country, and Rifle and was the secondary marketing contact for Men's Basketball with the Wolfpack. She also oversaw the department's Charitable Donations Program and various student and community engagement marketing/promotional efforts across all sports. In her time with NC State, Jessica lead the charge to breaking the Men's Soccer ticket revenue record for a single season and raised Men's Basketball total game attendance by 4% with multiple sellouts in their 16,000+ seating arena.

As a student-athlete, Jessica discovered her passion for sports marketing and joined the VCU Athletics Marketing & Promotions team as an Intern. She spent all 4 years at 100+ VCU Athletics events and was promoted to serve as the primary contact for VCU Lacrosse marketing & promotions for the 2019 season. Jessica also spent her summers as a marketing intern for organizations such as the Washington Commanders (then Redskins), Longstreth, and BOCO Gear.

Jessica's favorite Sea Devil Athletics memory is having all 3 women's sports (Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball, and Volleyball) win their Region and District Championships in the same year during the 2021-2022 season.

Jessica and her fiancé Jackson currently reside in Wilmington and enjoy spending time at the beach, going to concerts, and hanging out with their dog, Pete.
