Tryout Information for the 2013-2014 Sea Devil Cheerleading Squad 

WHEN:    Aug 25th, 1pm-5pm  (cheer, chant, and dance will be taught)

              Aug 26th, 8pm-9:30pm  (stunts)

              Aug 27th, 8pm-9:30pm  (fitness test and interviews)

              Aug 28th, 8pm-10pm  (tryouts)

WHERE:  The Schwartz Center, CFCC downtown campus 

REQUIRED FOR TRYOUTS:  To be considered, you must be a high school graduate or have received your GED, in addition to, being a full-time CFCC student (enrolled in 12 or more credit hours).  Requirements include: maintain over a 2.0 GPA, be able to attend practice 2 to 3 times a week, and demonstrate stunting ability. Strong cheer technique (jumps: toe touch, double touch, hurdler), positive attitude, energy,  **HIGHLY PREFERRED:  tumbling (at least a standing back handspring and running round off back handspring)

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

1)  All cheerleaders will be required to attend cheer camp September 14 and 15, 2013.  Must be available all day, both days.

2)  Cheerleading season runs August through April.  Practices will be held on Sundays (7:30pm-9:30pm), Mondays (8pm-9:30pm), and Wednesdays (8pm-9:30pm).  Please plan to be available during these times if you want to be part of the squad.
