Cheerleading

REQUIRED FOR TRYOUTS: To be considered, you must be a high school graduate or have received your GED, in addition to, being a full-time CFCC student (enrolled in 12 or more credit hours). Requirements include: maintain over a 2.0 GPA, be able to attend practice 2 to 3 times a week, and demonstrate stunting ability. Strong cheer technique (jumps: toe touch, double touch, hurdler), positive attitude, energy. **HIGHLY PREFERRED: tumbling (at least a standing back handspring and running round off back handspring)
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1) All cheerleaders will be required to attend cheer camp September 14 and 15, 2013. Must be available all day, both days.
2) Cheerleading season runs August through April. Practices will be held on Sundays (7:30pm-9:30pm), Mondays (8pm-9:30pm), and Wednesdays (8pm-9:30pm). Please plan to be available during these times if you want to be part of the squad.

CFCC is Recruiting for a New Mascot!
If you have a natural ability to entertain, have tons of energy, and love to help people have fun, then we are looking for YOU to fill the CFCC mascot costume, Ray the Sea Devil! Ray attends CFCC sporting events and represents the college at community functions. If you are interested in trying out to be Ray, please contact Cheerleading Coach Stefanie Adams at sadams@cfcc.edu by Friday, September 20th. Requirements: Must be a full time student registered for at least 12 credits for the fall semester and be in good academic standing with the college - 2.0 or higher GPA.
