Smithfield, NC - Cape Fear men's basketball defeated Johnston Community College on the road Tuesday by a score of 103-69.
A number of Sea Devils put in strong performances. Quate McKinzie finished with a double-double, scoring a team high 25 points to go with 11 rebounds. Jalen Cameron finished with 15 points, and Demetric Horton finished with 14. JJ Miles added 13 points, while Donte Tatum filled the stat sheet, finishing with 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
"It was great to get back on the floor after the Holiday break," said head coach Ryan Mantlo. "Getting a win on the road is always great but our schedule doesn't get any easier as we continue the rest of the way."
The Sea Devils improve to 12-2 overall.
Their next scheduled game is Saturday, January 12th, where they will take on Lenoir Community College at home at 3:00 p.m.
